How do you know it’s the right home for you?
It’s the question many people ponder, before finding the right property…how will I know this is right for me? There are so many factors to take into account when searching for a home, the location, budget and size are just a few! For some people it’s a gut feeling when they have found the perfect home, but for others they need a little more convincing. If this is you, then these indicators may help make it a bit clearer.
You get excited when you see the home and want to go inside. First impressions really are everything when you are house hunting, so if you are eager to take a peek inside, it’s your first positive sign. Now that you’ve entered the home, how do you feel? You will know pretty much instantly whether it feels warm and comforting and if it doesn’t then it may not be the home for you.
When walking through the home, if you start to envision where your furniture will go, that’s another great sign. Maybe you’re getting excited that your lounge will fit perfectly under the window or that the dining table would look great in that spot. Your starting to picture yourself in the home which means you’re well on your way to falling in love with it.
It can be hard to find a home that ticks every single box, but if it’s getting pretty close and ticks the main boxes such as location, fits within your budget etc, then you may find yourself becoming flexible with the few things that it’s missing.
If the other homes you have looked at no longer appeal to you and aren’t measuring up to this one, that’s another great sign. You might be already planning to go back and have another look! That’s a big clue you should be chatting to your agent and seriously considering putting in an offer.
The checklist for a new home is so different for each person, one thing that’s important to you may not even make another person’s list! Hopefully these indicators help you along the way and you find the perfect property!
