Learn to Clean Naturally

22-Feb-2021
The amount of chemicals and waste we produce with supermarket bought cleaning products is not only bad for the environment but wasting your money!
Below we have provided the natural cleaning ingredients that will work in your home to prevent both these measures.

Vinegar
Something most of us would already have in the cupboard! Using white vinegar or a cleaning vinegar is a great product for deodorising and disinfecting surfaces. Vinegar is quite strong and depending what you are using it for, will need to be diluted in water.

Bicarbonate Soda
Yet another product you would already have. Bicarbonate soda is a great cleaning agent as it is a mild alkali which causes dirt and grease to dissolve once in contact with water. Additionally, it also deodorises and won’t leave you with a harsh chemical smell as it brings acidic and odour molecules to a neutral state.

Essential Oils
This includes eucalyptus, tea tree, lemon and rosemary. Depending on the essential oil at hand they are a great addition to your pantry. For example; Lemon can help in removing bacteria, sticky residues and deodorise smells. Tea tree is great for making an all-purpose cleaner, and even washing your hands when combined with castile soap.

Castile Soap
Castile soap has a more gentle effect for more delicate items that need to be cleaned. It is a natural soap made from saponified oil. In addition with some of the products mentioned earlier, castile soap can be used instead of carpet cleaners, a multi-purpose surface spay and as a laundry detergent.
